isthatmymom.com now in business

My latest project has just been completed whoo hooo!

This was a simple low budget photography profile / site.  I built it in xhtml and css with some nice jquery plugins for image galleries and the featured content slider.

The client Renee Wahlheim is a personal friend of the family with a growing reputation for photography in the Oklahoma City area, she is also beginning to work for major events like SXSW and Bonaroo, her images are the explanation. Her style captures the ordinary in such a way to create interesting engaging images of performances and natural beauty from local scenery and her travels .

make sure and check out the site as my screenshots are really just a tease :) and drop her a line if you like the work or are in need of some great photography for your next project.

Contact page :

simple html form with some social media icons found through iconfinder designed by dawghousedesignstudios.com

These were a lot of fun to create, I started with a simple thumbnails page for each type of gallery { above } and then used another jquery plugin by userfriendlythinking.com for the actual galleries that pull all of the image content directly from sets on Flickr. The beauty in this is that the client doesn’t need to contact me for updates to the galleries. All Renee has to do is log into her Flickr account and update the contents of the set and presto the site is up to date.

due to the project being a quicker site on a low budget it doesn’t play well with IE but for images and presentation I feel a better browser should be preferred.

Check out the site and please feel free to comment with feedback.
